Privacy Policy

This extension ("AI Translate & Summarize") respects your privacy. You control how your data flows:

1. Local storage: Your API key and translation/summary history are stored only in your browser's extension storage on this device. They are never uploaded to any server.
2. Data sent: When you request a translation of a selection or a summary of a page, the selected text and extracted page content are sent to the model provider you choose in settings (e.g., DeepSeek, OpenAI, Qwen, GLM, Kimi) to generate the result. This is required for the AI features to work.
3. No data collection: The extension collects no usage data, performs no analytics, contains no third-party tracking code, and performs no IP geolocation.
4. Third-party processing: The model provider may process the content you send according to its own privacy policy.
5. Permissions: The <all_urls> permission is used solely to provide selection translation and content extraction on any webpage. No unnecessary data is read.
